* CSM and Plats are not available here and must be obtained from the Register of Deeds Office

* Not all fields need to be filled in for searching

* 1/1/1000 as a date for a document record indicates an unknown date

* Asterisks can be used as wildcards, for example: typing in "c*" in the "Subdivision" (plat) field will bring up all plats that start with the letter c.

* In some cases only the last name is used on a plat, for example: Does Addition. Other times the first name or initial is used (AF Harts Addition) so first initials and last names should both be searched.

* Puncuation marks (periods, commas, apostrophes, etc.) are not used in the "Subdivision" descriptors

* Capital or lower case can be used

* "Surveyor" is described by Last Name only
